Le Musée national de la Marine comes from the collection that has been given by Henri Louis Duhamel to the king Louis XV. The permanent collection of the museum is exhibited in the aile Passy du Palais de Chaillot in Paris, but annexes could be found in Brest, Port-Louis, Rochefort and Toulon. The decay as well as the assortment of the collections such as former models of boats, to size collection pieces, paints, sailing instruments and so on. These items make this museum amongst the most important maritime museum in the world.
