The Cervantes Institute in Marrakech presents, from July 17 to August 10, LorCaligrafía
The Cervantes Institute in Marrakech presents, from July 17 to August 10, 2012, LorCaligrafía, an exhibition of works of the calligrapher marrakchi Lahcen Farssaoui.
His paintings illustrate poems translated into Arabic of the Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca. Farsaoui reflects to us some aspects of artistic and cultural life of Marrakech, through his work and his thoughts. He paints without clamor, without fanfare, a discreet passion, a secret garden hidden from the eye. By its calligraphic painting, his paintings reconstitute vacuum and appear to fuse with reality, giving it a consistency, to scrutinize it and sublimate.
