Pavese, named Cesare, is an Italian writer, born in 1908 in Turin. He was also a translator of writers like Dos Passos, Faulkner or Joyce. His writings, in verse or prose, are marked by disillusionment and a report on the death incongruous and somewhat fatalistic. After being directed toward fascism under family pressure, he would join the Italian Communist Party. Suicide, on his deathbed, he will leave his last text, Death will come and will have your eyes, which ends thus: " Enough of words. An act! ". It was August 27, 1950.
