InterContinental Le Grand is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, so happy birthday to it! As with any major milestone, certain festivities have been planned to mark the occasion. But if you're expecting cake and streamers, think again. This is Paris, after all, and when has Paris ever missed an opportunity to get all highbrow and cultured on everyone? No. Rather than blowing its special anniversary on one fleeting night of drunken debauchery, the century-and-a-half-old hotel is dragging out its birthday by dedicating a month to each of the seven arts (architecture, music, literature, film...and those other three ones). Starting with this month's theme: literature.
