Crumb

The exhibition is open from 10h to 18h until 22h except Thursday and Monday closed

Le Musée d'art moderne de la Ville de Paris

Robert Crumb, author founder of the underground in 1967 and against the reference iconic-American culture with its "anti-hero", is one of the few artists who shaped the way of seeing several generations. If his heroes such as Fritz the Cat, Mr. Natural would become famous, it is his own person he draws, staged in an endless introspection. His vision of America, society, the couple, his love of women and music of the twenties, are the many subjects of his plates.

The exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art presents more than 700 drawings his sketchbooks, many journals 'underground' worn by creative freedom and still scouring the documentary Crumb Terry Zwigoff (1994).
Whatever acuity and sometimes cruelty of his look, Crumb cover all topics with humor unrivaled.
