YSL iconic high fashion jacket in tribute to Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" will be auctioned on 27 November at Christie's Paris
A rare haute couture jacket created by Yves Saint Laurent in tribute to Van Gogh's "Sunflowers", considered an iconic piece in the history of fashion, will be auctioned on November 27 at Christie's Paris. This jacket exists in 4 copies, is estimated between 80,000 and 120,000 euros, which would make it one of the most expensive haute couture pieces in the world. Presented for the spring-summer sewing collection 1988, entirely hand-made for 600 hours by the Lesage embroidery, lined with silk satin. This jacket was worn by the top model Naomi Campbell during a fashion show, is kept in the collections of the museum Yves Saint Laurent, it is among the emblematic pieces of the work of the designer.
