- Private Tour to the Great Wall
After a lunch break (included in price), you visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall
The tour starts with the Ming Tombs, mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Stroll through this beautifully preserved necropolis to admire its grand architecture and know the cultural and historical significance that is this site. You follow also the Sacred Way, bordered by a huge statue of a turtle bearing the largest stele of China, followed by 12 statues of animals and 12 others representing the faces of influential people in history.
After a lunch break (included in price), you visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall, one of the best preserved sections of this architectural wonder 2000 years old. Meandering from east to west along the northern border of the old Chinese empire, the Great Wall is a work of astonishing large-scale construction. The Badaling section is well preserved and retains its authenticity despite the many "beautification campaigns". After finding your own pace to climb this landmark Chinese ravaged by wars, you will be rewarded by the sight that awaits you at the top.
Then you head to your final destination, the Olympic Park, site that hosted the Beijing Olympics of 2008. Your guide will tell stories and anecdotes related to the National Olympic Stadium (nicknamed the "Bird's Nest") and the National Aquatics Center (nicknamed "Water Cube"), both built specifically for gaming.
