1789, lovers of the Bastille, the next show Dove Attia and Albert Cohen will play at the Sports Hall from September 29 to November 11, 2012. A show that, after a first single hit, promises to be spectacular. Be sure to book your tickets for this musical, to look forward.
1789, lovers Bastilles takes you back in the past, at a time when history is jostling. A time when people want to take things in hand, decided to change the world. Here we are in the French Revolution, during the heyday of 1789 and including August 26, when the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
What's it about?
This is the story of a couple (yes, lovers, should have guessed) are total opposites. This couple loves passionately, necessarily. But the peasant is a revolutionary while the other is a lady's companion of Marie Antoinette, after the gentry, governess of the royal children at Versailles. Olympus and Lazarus come from two worlds that clash and fear. In short, not really the same medium and their union seems impossible. But the world changes. The story pushes and opens to the lovers of the Bastille to new horizons.
In France, famine, unemployment devastates the countryside and cities. While in court, all is qu'insouciance, frivolities and expenses, among the people, growing anger and rebellion is brewing.
This couple, the brainchild of our acolytes Attia and Cohen will play a role in history. They will have to cross the fate of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, but also of Camille Desmoulins, Danton, Mirabeau and other great names of the revolution. Lazarus and Olympus will find themselves plunged into the vortex of the revolution in the midst of intrigues wildest and most romantic. They passionately love before being separated and then find themselves. They will be at the heart of the history of France.
At the heart of this famous day of July 14, 1789, at the foot of the Bastille, this dark prison of Paris, that will seal their fate forever and will mark the birth of a new world means freedom and fraternity for all.
In the main role, we find:
- Camille Desmoulins (Rod Janois): Friend of Lazarus and Danton, a young writer,
- Lazarus: The lover, the young peasant revolutionary who wants to avenge his father,
- Olympus: The sub-governess to the royal children but also the daughter of Lieutenant King to the Bastille,
- Marie Antoinette: Queen of France carefree and light,
- Solene: The sister of Lazarus after his brother and leaves in debauchery lead to better return,
- Georges Jacques Danton: The Advocate, chairman of the Cordeliers district. It will organize the uprising,
- Charlotte: A Parisian girl who knows everything and everyone and that will be a valuable guide for lovers.
After the success of "The 10 Commandments" or even "Mozart, the rock opera", we expect that this new musical success will await you. "It'll be my love," the first single of the show is at the top of sales right out! Dove Attia, always accompanied by Albert Cohen, Janois Rodrigue, Jean-Pierre Pilot, or William Rousseau we still reserve many surprises. Resume the history of the revolution, this is a challenge.
